Improv Comedy FriYAY — October 2026

Two comedy shows. One ticket. Spooktacular laughs!

This month, we’re joined by award-winning improv comedian guests* from Brisbane — Glenn Seaby and Liz Talbot. 

The first half is packed with the fast-paced comedy theatre games Gold Coast audiences have come to know and love, where our improvisers turn your suggestions into hilarious scenes on the spot, sprinkled with hilarious Halloween tricks, treats and unexpected laughs. If you enjoy Whose Line Is It Anyway?, you'll feel right at home!

Then, in the second half, we’re bringing back Blah Blah Blah Improv’s signature long-form show, Small Town Council, where your local Facebook community group posts provides the inspiration.

Before the show, scroll through your neighbourhood Facebook group and find a post that’s mundane, funny, whingey, petty, bizarre, or just VERY idiosyncratic to your town. Submit it before the show and it could become part of the agenda at our completely improvised town council meeting. Parking disputes. Lost dogs. Suspicious neighbours. Bin dramas. Local wildlife. That person who wants to know why there was a helicopter flying overhead at 2am.

Our improvisers take the posts and bring the people, relationships, and ridiculous small-town shenanigans behind them to life — while you, the townspeople, might even be called upon to help council find a solution.

Family-friendly. The only comedy night on the Gold Coast where you can bring the kids AND have an alcoholic beverage!

About the special guests

Glenn Seaby is an award-winning improviser who has performed at festivals all over Australia and internationally, including Adelaide Fringe Festival, Brisbane Comedy Festival, Singapore Improv Festival, Auckland Improv Festival, Brisbane Improv Festival, Anywhere Festival, ITS Comedy Festival and Bris Funny Fest.

Liz Talbot is an award-winning improviser, comedian, and prolific sketch writer whose work has appeared at the Brisbane Comedy Festival, Anywhere Festival, ITS Comedy Festival and Brisbane Improv Festival. She’s performed everything from improvised Jane Austen to SPORTSBALL, the gloriously ridiculous sports comedy she hosts with Glenn Seaby.

When booking, you’ll be able to choose your seats, and meals are available to order throughout the show until 8pm. If you’re unable to secure a seat at a table but would like a meal, we recommend arriving early to dine beforehand downstairs (meals are available downstairs from 5pm).
