In this seven-week improvisation course, you’ll have fun learning how to make up short comedy sketches on the spot. You’ll also get to play some of the hilarious theatresports games made famous by the hit improv show ‘Whose Line Is It Anyway?’.

Acting for Improvisers
Strengthen your performance skills with Acting for Improvisers, a fun, practical course designed for improvisers who have not studied acting. Ideal after Improv: Fun and Games (but suitable anytime between Levels 1 and 3), you will build stronger physicality, sharpen your stagecraft, boost your stage presence, and develop core acting foundations and voice work that make every scene clearer, bolder, and more compelling. Perfect for improvisers ready to level up their on-stage confidence.
Teen Improv Summer Slam— Byron Bay (Ages 12–17)
Get ready for a high-energy week of creativity, confidence, and laughs at our Teen Improv Summer Slam in Byron Bay! Open to ages 12–17 years, this four-day programme teaches quick thinking, bold choices, teamwork, and how to “get out of your head”. Teens will explore theatresports-style games, create comedy scenes on the spot, and build performance skills in a fun, supportive environment. The week ends with a showcase for family and friends where teens get to show off everything they’ve learnt.
Character Relationships
Unlock the heart of great improv: authentic, meaningful relationships. In Character Relationships, you’ll learn to slow down and discover real, grounded points of view that bring depth and truth to your scenes, making them come alive.
Whether you’re building a quirky friendship, a long-standing rivalry, or a heartfelt bond, you’ll discover techniques to sustain compelling interactions that captivate audiences and energise your fellow performers.
Storytelling 1
In this six-week improvisation course, you’ll learn the basics of telling a compelling story while learning two long-form improv formats (depending on the participants, it will be Armando and/or Living Room and/or Monoscene). This is a level 3 course, and it is a requirement to have completed levels 1 and 2 before enrolling.
Improv Jams
Blah Blah Blah Improv’s jams are a low-cost way to maintain and build your improv fitness, and a great opportunity for improvisers of all levels to come together and practise what you've learnt in class!
Prerequisite: At a minimum, you must have completed our Improv: Fun and Games course OR have completed a level 1 course with another improv company to participate in our improv jams. Unfortunately, school-based improv is not sufficient training for these jams. If you are unsure whether your level of experience is suitable, please contact us before booking.

Voice, Stagecraft &
Show Readiness
Suitable for beginners and experienced improvisers, as well as first-time improvisers. In this workshop, you'll learn techniques of how to use your voice in different venues—whether a noisy pub or quiet theatre auditorium. There will also be a focus on stagecraft and how to adapt your physicality when performing in different venues, plus you'll learn about show etiquette and what is generally expected of performers in any performing arts genre for any live performance setting.

While this workshop is a prerequisite to performing in any Blah Blah Blah Improv show, it is also suitable for anyone who wants to learn voice, stagecraft, and show etiquette for any performing arts genre. It is the 101 of theatrical performance!
Accidentally Funny with Kath Griffin
