What it's about
Ready to level up your ensemble instincts? Groups and Games focuses on the craft of working as a true improv ensemble — where connection, shared awareness, and playful collaboration create consistently engaging scenes. Across six weeks, you’ll explore physical theatre techniques tailored specifically for improvisers, helping you use movement, space, stillness, and group dynamics with intention. You’ll learn how to recognise and heighten the “game” of a scene as a collective, discover how ensemble patterns generate comedy, and develop the elusive sense of group mind that makes improv feel effortless. You’ll develop skills in: • Ensemble connection, trust, and responsiveness • Physical storytelling and expressive group movement • Identifying and heightening the comedic “game” together • Creating clear group stage pictures and dynamics • Supporting scenes without dominating them • Building strong, cohesive ensemble energy Ideal for improvisers ready to deepen collaboration skills, sharpen comedic instincts, and make ensemble work both dynamic and delightfully funny. PREREQUISITES You must have completed levels 1 and 2. If you have learnt improv with another company, please email lol@blahblahblahimprov.com to check if your experience and skill level matches before enrolling.
