Ready to take your improv skills to the next level and add some musical magic? Join us for a 3-hour musical improv workshop led by the incredible Lindsay Drummond and Mandy Plumb! In this beginner-friendly workshop, you’ll learn how to make up songs on the spot and seamlessly weave them into improvised scenes and games for short-form improv. Whether you’re belting out a ballad or rapping your way through a scene, Lindsay and Mandy will show you how to use melody, rhythm, and lyrics to create hilarious moments and memorable stories. No musical experience needed—just a willingness to sing out loud and have fun! Don’t miss this chance to explore the exciting world of musical improv! PREREQUISITE You must have completed the Improv: Fun and Games course, OR have completed a multi-week level 1 course with another improv company. This workshop takes place at 124 Marine Pde, Coolangatta from 1pm until 4pm on 25 May 2025. Spots are limited, so don’t miss out! ABOUT LINDSAY DRUMMOND Lindsay is the founder of ImprovHub and was one of the first in the world to teach improv online. With over 20 years of experience as a professional musician and entertainer, Lindsay brings a wealth of creativity and energy to improv performances. She has trained with renowned improvisers, including Jill Bernard, David Razowsky, Patti Stiles, and Armando Diaz. Lindsay also created 'Drummond and Friend', a popular YouTube show featuring improvised scenes with top improvisers worldwide. In 2019, she performed with Ho Hum Musical Improv, showcasing her talent and passion for musical comedy. ABOUT MANDY PLUMB Blah Blah Blah Improv founder and Artistic Director Mandy Plumb began her musical theatre journey at the tender age of five and made her professional debut in her late teens in HAIR The Musical. With a passion for the stage, she majored in theatre at university, honing her craft and deepening her love for performance. Musical improv quickly became her favourite genre of improvised comedy theatre, blending her love for music and spontaneous storytelling. Mandy was the physicality director of Ho Hum Musical Improv, Queensland's first musical improv troupe, where she guided performers to embody characters with dynamic movement and energy.
Cancellation policy
Cancellations & changes Packages for improv jams: You will get a full refund of your package credit if you cancel or change your booking up to 12 hours before the improv session starts. One-off workshop, casual jams, or masterclass: You will get a refund (less the cost of payment gateway, website transaction, and banking fees) if you cancel up to seven days before the session. Multiple-week courses: You will get a refund (less the cost of payment gateway, website transaction, and banking fees) if you cancel up to two weeks before the course commences. For cancellations of workshops and courses that do not fall within the above timelines, you will receive credit to go towards the next class or workshop. This does not apply to cancellations of jams.
